General Account Questions

Which day will my invoice be due?
Your invoice will be due on the anniversary of the day you signed up for the package. We will email you the invoice 14 days before it is due. If the invoice is not paid within 7 days after the anniversary date it will be marked as overdue and charged an additional 10% late fee.  All accounts 7 days past due will also be subject to service suspension, unless they notify Canadian Creative Web Services in advance.
What payment methods do you accept?
At the time, we use PayPal as our payment processor. PayPal is secure and support most major credit cards. If you are unable to pay through PayPal, please contact sales@killanet.net (non-customers) or start a support ticket (customers).
What happens if I exceed my bandwidth limit?
If you exceed your bandwidth limit we will charge you $0.75 for each MB (Megabyte) that you use. We will inform you by email when you approach your bandwidth limit. Extra bandwidth can be purchased from the Client Center. You can watch your bandwidth usage from your cPanel Control Area.
I wish to upgrade my account, how do I do this?
If you wish to upgrade your account, please create a support ticket at least 10 days before your next billing cycle. Be sure to specify which package you wish to upgrade to.
I have a question which isn’t answered here. What should I do?
If you cannot find the answer to your question in the FAQs, you can contact our sales team by emailing sales@killanet.net or filling out the contact form on our about page. We will reply to your email as soon as possible.
How do I update my account information?
You can update your account details by signing into the Client Centre at http://host.canadiancreative.ca/whmcs/ and going to My Info -> Update My Info. We ask that you keep your email address up to date, as we will use this to contact you regarding your account.
How do I cancel my account?
If you wish to cancel your account, please create a support ticket at least 10 days before your next billing cycle.

What Control Panels do you use?
We use the latest WHM/cPanel 11.x by default on all accounts.

I’m not in the USA, can I still sign up?
Certainly, as long as you are able to send funds via PayPal, you can use Canadian Creative Web Services.
How often do you make backups?
We are proud of our nightly backups which allow us to feel secure about your web site. For added piece of mind, customers are encouraged to make their own backups regularly.  We also keep on hand weekly and monthly backups of your site, to allow for greater flexibility in the event you require your site rolled back to an earlier date.
How long does it take to setup my account?
We process all new orders manually to prevent fraud. Your account should be setup within 24 hours of payment being received, normally it will not take this long. If your account is not setup within 24 hours, please contact sales@killanet.net
Does my account come with pre-installed scripts?
All cPanel accounts come complete with Fantastico De Luxe. Fantastico is the leading autoinstaller for cPanel servers and allows you to install dozens of popular scripts without having to open FTP. Canadian Creative Web Services also offers a PHP script installation service for all shared web hosting customers. If you have a PHP script but don't want the trouble of installing it, our technicians will be happy to do it for you.  Just open a Ticket in your Client area, and we will get in touch with you right away.
Do you support JSP?
Sorry, at the present time we do not support JSP.
Do you support Active Server Pages (ASP)?
Sorry, at this time we do not support ASP.
Do you provide webmail?
Yes, cPanel accounts come with Horde installed, Neomail, and Squirrelmail available for use.
Do I have to register a domain name?
No, if you already own a domain name you can simply change your nameservers to point to our servers.
Can I host multiple domains?
You can host multiple domains on our reseller accounts only.

Shared Hosting

Where can I find some documentation on cPanel?
The extensive cPanel user manual is an excellent resource for cPanel help. If you can't find the answer your looking for in the manual, don't hesitate to start a support ticket.
I want you to install a PHP script for me, what do I do?
We will gladly install any PHP script for you providing you have suficient resources (databases, disk space, etc). Simply open a new Script Installationsupport ticket. Please include any details which will be required, such as:
  • Name and link to the script to be installed
  • Directory script should be installed in
  • Database/Password of MySQL Database to be used (This will be created if not included)
  • Admin username/password to be used in the installation
  • Email address to be used for the installation
We will usually install scripts within 24 hours within receiving a request. Should any error occur you will be informed by the technician of the error and possible options.
